Indore : Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe on Monday reprimanded IMC higher officials for not issuing the water tax bills. Moghe allegedly warned the officials to issue the water tax bills within 24hours during a review meeting of the water tax department held at the IMC premises.

On receiving a high dose from the Mayor, the file that allegedly took more than a month to be completed was prepared within 2 hours.

Moghe in the budget 2014-15 announced that the water tax bills till March31, 2012 would be freezed and the debtors need not to pay for it. But the last date for the payment of bills from April 1, 2012 was announced as September 30, 2014 but so far the bills were not given to the consumers.

The Mayor during the meeting allegedly warned the officials to issue the bills within 24hours. Because of this, a file with regards to these bills was prepared within 2hours. The mayor ordered the officials to issue bills to the consumers within 24 hours.
