Bagli: District administration organised a women parliament in village Patadipal, under Polakhal gram panchayat of Udai Nagar block of Bagli tehsil on Monday. Chief guest of the programme was district in-charge minister Surendra Patwa.
It was his first visit to Bagli after becoming district in-charge minister of Dewas district. Administration had made mockery of the rural women parliament, as during the function the entire audience included Anganwadi volunteers and school lady teachers but no rural women were present on this occasion. The programme became a flop show due to negligence of district level officials as they could not properly publicize the programme.
The programme was organised to inform rural women about various government public welfare schemes. While addressing the gathering, chief guest Patwa said that the nation could not be developed unless the villages would not be developed.
The women parliament had been organised under the Gram Udai se Bharat Udai programme. The programme was presided over by local MLA Champalal Deoda. During the function, MLA Deoda raised the issue of construction of Padpadi dam. He asked the district administration why the dam construction work was not started. During the function, district collector Ashutosh Awasthi, SP Anshuman Singh, district panchayat CEO Rajeev Ranjan and others were also present.
