Indore: Police booked a woman from West Bengal for allegedly stealing Rs 7.5 lakh from the credit card of her friend in Aerodrome area. The victim had shared the confidential PIN with the accused after which the accused stole her card and allegedly withdrew money. No arrest was made till Sunday evening.
Aerodrome police station incharge Ashok Patidar said a case under Sections 379, 406 of IPC against Pramila Sakar was registered on complaint of 30-year-old Shivani Tiwari of Padmalaya Colony. Shivani in her complaint stated that she hails from Satna and works in a company in the city. She was staying with Pramila in a rented accommodation and this is how she had shared confidential credentials of her credit card with accused girl.
A few days ago, Shivani had gone out for some work when Pramila stole her credit card from her almirah and withdrew money. Pramila already has Shivani’s two credit cards and she has stolen third card too. According to complainant, Pramila swindled her cards and withdrew Rs 7.5 lakh using her cards on different dates.
Shivani came to know about the fraud when she asked to return money but Pramila refused and fled. Shivani and Pramila worked in the same company. The investigation is underway to know that how Pramila managed to withdraw or spent huge amount using complainant’s credit card. Search is on for accused.
