Indore: The commercial capital of Madhya Pradesh, Indore will be transformed into a digital city in one year. It will help to establishing e- governance in city and improve the security system of the city. The Reliance Geo is planning to roll out the 4G service in March this year.
State urban administration department ( UAD) minister Kailash Vijayvargiya made this announcement on Thursday after reviewing the 4G project being implemented by the company near Agrawal Public School. Talking to media persons Vijayvargiya said that the Reliance Gio has submitted a proposal to his department to make Indore a digital city within a year.
Reliance Gio will soon provide its 4G service in the city, he said. The 4G internet service will bring a new revolution in information technology and it will help transform the city into a digital one, the minister said.Vijayvargiya further said that the 4G internet service will help in establishing the e- governance in the city. Webcams are proposed to install at all the major squares of the city, which will be linked to a network and will be monitored at a central point.
This will help in improving the security system of the city.IDA chairman Shankar Lalwani, IMC Speaker Rajendra Rathore, ADM Alok Singh, IMC Commissioner Rakesh Singh, IDA CEO Deepak Singh, Reliance construction head Madhup Dubey, technical head Neeraj Vijayvargiya and Sanjeev Arora were also present during the meeting.
KHAN RIVER REVIVAL PROJECT
Vijayvargiya said that a project of Rs 500 crore has been presented before the Union government for the revival of Khan River.Some amount will be contributed by the state government and some by the IMC, he said.
SCAMS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED
Vijayvargiya said that all the scams are exposed by us and there will be zero tolerance in corruption cases, included in the 100- day task planning. To a question on scholarship scam in the city, he said, “ Now our intension is clear and the government will certainly take action against it.” Prior to the review of 4G work, the UAD minister reprimanded the IMC Commissioner Rakesh Singh for not issuing NOC demanded by the district administration on the application of Reliance Gio. According to sources, the company wants to set up a tower in the city for the connectivity and for that the permission of IMC is must. Vijayvargiya asked IMC Commissioner Rakesh Singh, who was also present during the review meeting, to grant the permission within 24 hour. If Singh failed to do so, then- he will face ac tion, the minister warned.
