Indore: The curiosity of more than 23 lakh voters of Indore Parliamentary seat will come to end by Thursday night when name of winner from 20 candidates who contested Lok Sabha elections will be declared. There is close fight between BJP candidate Shankar Lalwani and Congress candidate Pankaj Sanghvi. The district election office has made elaborate arrangements for vote counting at Nehru Stadium.
The counting of votes from postal ballots, control unit of all eight assembly constituencies and Mhow of Dhar parliamentary constituency will start at 8 am. The counting process will run non-stop till the end. Talking to media on the eve of counting day, collector and district election officer Lokesh Kumar Jatav said counting vote of all the assembly constituencies will be held simultaneously. 5 VVPATs selected by lottery
It will be done in the end. Chits having polling booth number will be put in a pan and through the lottery system, five chits will be picked up. The five picked up chits having polling booth number will be matched with VVPAT slips. Same process will be followed in all the eight assembly constituencies.
