Indore: Special court judge MK Sharma on Friday rejected the bail plea of Vinayak Dudhale, an accused in much-talked spiritual guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj suicide case. Police had booked Bhaiyyu Maharaj’s attendant Vinayak and two others under Section 306, 384, 120B of the IPC and arrested them in January, nearly seven months after he committed suicide.
Vinayak had claimed innocence in the case and sought bail but additional public prosecutor Abhijeet Singh Rathore objected saying that Dr Ayushi, Raja Badjatiya and Kailash Patel’s statements revealed that Vinayak and two other were harassing Bhaiyyu Maharaj.
“One accused Palak Pauranik used to even build up pressure on him for marrying her. They used to threaten him that if their demands were not met than they would tarnish his image,” Rathore said. Giving up to the pressure, the spiritual guru had shot himself on June 12, last year. Rathore said that the court after listening to both the sides described the crime of “serious nature” and rejected the bail plea.
