Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In a bizarre incident, a man prepared a fake Covid positive report and sent it to his wife. He did it to stay away from her.
Showing fake positive report, he told his wife and family members that he will have to stay at a Covid care centre. When he didn’t return home for a month, his wife became suspicious and asked her father to verify the report. When her father approached the lab, he was shocked to know that report was fake.
Later, laboratory administration lodged a police complaint at Chhoti Gwaltoli police station in Indore. The police have registered a case and also arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Ezaz Ahmed, a resident of Mhow town in Indore district.
According to police, Ahmed married in February 2021. As he used to have arguments with his wife, he decided to stay away. He downloaded a Covid-19 positive report from Google and edited it through Photoshop App.
Chhoti Gwaltoli police station incharge, Sanjay Shukla said a case was registered on the basis of complaint lodged by Central Lab incharge Dr Vinita Kothari.
“It was found that accused was upset with his wife due to family issues. He prepared a fake report so that he could stay away from her,” Dr Shukla said.
