Indore: A man was arrested for stealing goods worth thousands of rupees from two houses in Gandhi Nagar area on Monday. The accused was trying to flee the city when he was arrested. Gandhi Nagar police station in-charge Neeta Derwal said that two theft incidents at the houses of Sunil Karosia and Mamta Yadav were reported on February 23. The accused entered the house after breaking the locks and took away goods worth Rs 55000 from there.
A team was searching for the accused when they received a tip-off that Vikas alias Vikka of the same area is trying to flee the city. He was earlier arrested in connection with a theft incident. After the information, police detained Vikas when he confessed to his crimes. After that, the police recovered a LED TV and other goods stolen from the two houses by the accused.
