Indore: Two detained at ATM booth released after identification

Indore: Two men, who were found inside an ATM booth with a spare part of machine, are identified as the employees of ATM machines maintenance contracting company.  Both employees were released after bank and the company officials told the police that they had come to collect spare parts from ATM booth. According to Malharganj police station incharge Sanjay Mishra, residents of Juna Risala area informed that two suspected men were inside an ATM booth of the SBI Bank and they were broke opening the machine around 2.30am on Sunday. After getting the information, police force reached the spot and detained them along with a spare part of machine. The men identified as Rohit and Devendra told the police that they were told to collect a spare part of the machine which was replaced by the maintenance company a couple of days ago. Police did not believe their version and detained them. The police also informed bank and company officials about the incident.

On Sunday morning, bank and company officials reached Malharganj police station and both were identified as the employees of the contracting company.  The officials of the company which was given contract for maintenance and cash loading in ATMs told the police that a part of machine was replaced by the company employees a couple of days ago. They said the employees left the spare part inside the guard room in the ATM booth. Company official named Vijay was on leave when he had told Rohit and Devendra to collect the part from the booth. They had to collect the part on Saturday evening but they reached there in the night and were caught by the police. TI Mishra said that the men were released and no case was registered against them.
