Indore: The twist and turns in the city’s weather pattern continued as after crossing the mark of 33 degrees Celsius, a few days ago, the day temperature again took a nosedive to 25 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Not only the day temperature, night temperature too decreased due to the cold winds coming from the northern part of the country.

Meanwhile, regional meteorological department officials said that uncertainty of weather will continue for few more days and the temperature will start increasing gradually again. “The temperature increased by almost five degrees Celsius above the normal due to the winds blowing from western direction.

The changes in wind pattern and western disturbance has pulled own the temperature again,” weatherman said. The frequent weather changes have also affected people’s health. Private clinics and hospitals are receiving rising number of patients suffering from body ache, viral diseases, throat infection etc.

“Number of patients suffering from body ache, cough and cold and other diseases is on rise. These cases are likely to rise by another 20 percent in coming days,” said general physician Dr Vijay Thakur. He said, “Parents should keep an eye on food their children are taking. Children should be prevented from taking cold food and must take proper rest.”

Doctors have appealed to residents to take extra care of children as they have weak immunity compared to adults. On Saturday, city recorded maximum temperature of 25.5 degrees Celsius, which was four degrees below normal while night temperature was recorded at 12.7 degrees Celsius which was one degree above normal.
