Crime branch arrested three men when they were trying to sell cannabis in the city on Sunday. A joint team of Bhanwarkua and Kanadiya police station recovered 25 kilograms of cannabis worth Rs 6 lakh. The accused used to grow cannabis on two-acre land. Crime branch with a joint team of Bhanwarkua and Kanadiya police station arrested Jagdish Nimama and Ratan Kharadi, both residents of Badnawar in Dhar.
The accused were arrested while they brought cannabis in the city near Kanadiya bridge at Ring Road. They have been booked under NDPS Act. Accused Jagdish used to bring cannabis from Dhar where he had grown 40 kilograms of cannabis on his two-acre of land. He supplied cannabis with help of his uncle. Two mobile phones and a bike were recovered by police.
Another case was registered at Bhanwarkua police station where Mukut Paperwala was arrested while supplying cannabis near IT Park autorickshaw stand. Police recovered 3 kgs cannabis from the accused. Police said he was addicted to it and to meet his daily need, he started selling it.
