Indore: Warm breeze coupled with rising/and sometimes falling temperature turned the weather itchy and made it hard for the citizens to face the April-like weather in month of February. Temperature on Tuesday too remained above 30 degrees Celsius. This has led to flu-like symptoms and body aches in several people.

According to the regional meteorological department officials, maximum temperature recorded on Tuesday was 31.5 degrees Celsius, which was one degree Celsius above normal with humidity at 41 per cent. The night temperature was also recorded two degrees Celsius above normal at 13.7 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, weatherman said there are chances of drop in temperature once again as the western disturbance is affecting the northern part of the country and state. “Northern part of the country is witnessing rains and it would affect the temperature in state as well. The temperature may drop again in few days as the city would see cloudy weather in couple of days,” met officials said. The winds were blowing with the average speed of 12-14 kmph throughout the day.

Three more tested positive

Even when the temperature in the city has increased, the H1N1 continues to spread its tentacles as three more patients have been tested positive on Tuesday. According to nodal officer of Integrated Diseases Surveillance Programme Dr Amit Malakar, “Three more reports were tested positive on Tuesday with which the total number of patients reached to 38, so far.” He said that all the patients are going through treatment in various hospitals across the city and their conditions are well. As many as 13 patients have succumbed to the disease since January 1.
