Indore: Breaking record of the last 10 years with the highest temperature in April, maximum temperature of the city touched 42.4 Celsius and minimum also stayed up to 27.6 degree Celsius on Friday. As per the previous predictions of met officials, the temperature was expected to cross 42 degree Celsius in the next week, but it shocked people. In 2018, the highest maximum temperature was recorded at 42.1 degree Celsius on April 28. The possible reason for the sudden rise in temperature is hot winds that are blowing in Madhya Pradesh and nearby states.
While night temperature in some nearby states are low and bearable, night temperature in MP stays up. Weathermen said winds blowing in north and western direction are also a reason behind the increasing heat and rising night temperature. There will be no respite in day temperature in next couple of days and nights will be hotter, they added. City looked deserted till the sun came down as people confined to their homes and offices to avoid the scorching sunlight. Temperature climbed up from 41.7 degree Celsius to 42.4 degree Celsius in a day and night temperature increased further from 26.2 degree Celsius to 27.6 degree Celsius. Due to rising heat and dryness, people are facing difficulty in their daily chores while the nights have become unbearable.
