Indore: Teachers who have been made observers for exams of Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board also known as Vyapam after completing exam duty would have to go to their respective colleges and take classes.

Generally, teachers who are deputed to supervise Vyapam exams get full day leave from colleges on the excuse of exam duty. But the state government has changed this policy now. In a letter addressed to government college principals, principal secretary (higher education) Ashish Upadhyaya said that teachers after completing exam duty would go back to their colleges and take classes. He said that the teaching should not be affected duty to Vyapam exams.

Earlier, identical order was passed for Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission exams. In that order, the PS had even directed divisional commissioners not to rope in teachers into MPPSC exams until prior permission is obtained from Department of Higher Education. However, that order was later withdrawn.
