Indore: Free Press and The Globalizers held a conference “Which country should I go for Higher Education?” at Jal Sabhagrah, Indore, on Saturday. The conference aimed to counsel students about their future choices and possibilities of building a career by studying abroad. More than 300 students from New Digamber Public School, Prestige Public School, Delhi Public School, The Emerald Heights International School and Choithram School North campus participated in the event and cleared their queries about studying abroad. The event was another feather in the cap of Free Press which has been pioneering to reach out to community by such panel discussions and events regularly.
Addressing the gathering, Director, Free Press Group Abhishek Karnani said, “Free Press has been reaching out to the community through various panel discussions, events and conferences.” He cited more than 20 such conferences have been organised in the last year connecting people and solving their issues. “Students are bright today and ready to march ahead building a better world, but they don’t know about global opportunities,” Karnani said. He talked about various difficulties faced by students including financial constraints, parental pressure and lack of awareness.
“There are also students, who have money, zeal and aptitude to get into top universities, but don’t know which the right country is for them,” Karnani said. To solve all these issues, the conference was organised addressing doubts of students. Karnani felicitated and welcomed chief guest of the event Varun Kapoor, Additional Director General of Police, Indore. Further, he also felicitated and welcomed Managing Director of Globalizer Prashant Hemnani. Karnani felicitated and welcomed special guest Dhananjay Raktale, Manager Marketing, Bank of Maharashtra. Chief guest Varun Kapoor spoke about his experiences and raised the issue of cyber crime and drug abuse among teenagers. Outstanding students of Globalizer, Nikit Parakh and Tushar Nahata were felicitated for getting full-scholarships from overseas university.
