A brave girl, who nabbed the mobile phone snatchers and handed them over to police, was felicitated by Senior Superintendent of Police Ruchi Vardhan Mishra on Friday. The girl has also given message for girls and women of city. Additional Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chouhan said Bhuri Tekri resident Sanjana Borasi was robbed of her mobile phone by two bikers a couple of days ago.
The girl didn’t give up and pelted stone on miscreants due to which they fell from moving bike. Girl reached there and took her mobile phone. She didn’t release the accused till two employees Indore Municipal Corporation removed the key of bike and immediately informed police. The people of the locality also reached there who later handed over the accused to Kanadiya police station staff for further action.
After knowing about courageous girl, SSP Mishra called girl to her office and felicitated Sanjana with commendation letter and Rs 5,000. Sanjana was glad after receiving appreciation from SSP. She has given message for women and girls of the city to be strong and to never give up during such situation. She said miscreants hit her from back due to which she fell on the ground when they tried to flee with her mobile phone but she didn’t give up and managed to catch the accused.
