Indore sports update: National Ranking Roller Skating, Daly College’s Aryan Anand wins gold; know more about city sports

Aryan Anand is the first player from Madhya Pradesh to achieve this feat in 100 metre event.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The second National Ranking Roller Skating Championship organised by the Indian Roller Skating Association was held in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, recently. In the tournament, 2000 players participated in quads and inline speed skating categories. Skater Aryan Anand of Daily College Indore showed outstanding performance (inline) speed skating and won gold medal in 100 m road race in the age group of 14 to 17 years.

Aryan Anand is the first player from Madhya Pradesh to achieve this feat in 100 metre event. On this achievement, Dr Gunmeet Kaur Bindra, Principal of Daily College and Harish Benabi, Dean Sport, congratulated Aryan and coach Chain Singh Thakur.

Sartaj Academy celebrates foundation day

Sartaj Academy celebrated its foundation day on Tuesday. Academy’s managing director Dharmesh Yashlaha distributed sweets to the parents of the participants . The Academy was started 27 years ago at Narayan Bagh Child Development Centre. Till now, 47 players of Sartaj Academy have participated in national events of badminton, four players have also played in national junior pickleball competition.

Sartaj Academy has so far conducted 60 League, 55 Tiger League, 16 Parakh League (once in a year), competitions of its own players, along with five All India Junior Ranking Cash Prize Badminton events, 15 Yonex Open (earlier Rahul Barpute memorial) and nine Smash trophy badminton events.

Naveen Madan appointed chairman

Madhya Pradesh Karate Association’s Naveen Madan has been appointed as chairman of Karate Association of India. Vinay Yadav, secretary, Madhya Pradesh Karate Association informed that Madan has announced to conduct Pro Karate League soon to take forward the game. On this appointment, national general secretary of BJP, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Ramesh Mendola, Chandu Rao Shinde, Alok Khare Ashok Sen, Kailash Batham, Rajendra Dhawalpuri and Atish Mali congratulated Madan for his achievements. On this occasion, the secretary of Karate Association of India, Rajnish Choudhary came to Indore and met with Kailash Vijayvargiya and apprised him of the status of karate.
