Indore: Police recovered the skeletal remains of a man in a charred car at a deserted place under Uday Nagar police station in Dewas district on Monday. The police are looking for clues and it is believed that the remains found in the car may be that of a person who went missing from Chandan Nagar area of the city a few days ago.
Chandan Nagar police station in-charge Rahul Sharma said a charred car was found in Muhada Ghati in Uday Nagar and skeletal remains were also found on the driver’s seat. The vehicle has been burnt beyond recognition as a result, it is difficult to ascertain the variant and the company of the vehicle.
However, the number plate of the car was recovered from the spot and the registration number mentioned on it reveals that the vehicle was registered at Indore RTO. The registration number also matches with the car of one Rajesh Parihar, resident of Scheme Number 71. Parihar went missing since February 4 from his residence. He left with his car and did not return home.
Sharma further said that the remains recovered from the car might be that of Parihar as he was not seen after he went missing and even the car number is matches. Local police have sent the remains for medical examination. A DNA test would be conducted to ascertain further details.
Police said Parihar was under heavy debt and was unable to repay. He was also trying to take help of a tantrik. Chandan Nagar police are still searching for Parihar and waiting for the medical reports of skeleton found in Uday Nagar. Also, the details of car are also being collected. The local police are also trying to know whether it was a murder or just a suicide case.
