Indore: This murder plot has all the ingredients required to make it a readable one. Property, lust and hate story… Police arrested three persons for killing a man and later setting ablaze his body and the car and pushing the same into a 250-feet deep gorge. The incident happened under Khudel police station jurisdiction.

What was the accused’s plan?
The accused had planned the murder to grab the deceased’s house. One of the accused has an affair with the deceased’s wife. However, the woman was not found involved in the murder case. The prime accused also went to Chandan Nagar police station to lodge a missing report with deceased’s wife!

What the cops found?
Additional Superintendent of Police (crime) Amarendra Singh said a charred car with skeletal remains were found in Mohada Ghat near Uday Nagar in the first week of February. Uday Nagar (Dewas) police had sent the skeletal remains for investigation and later the case was handed over to Khudel police station staff for further investigation as the spot where the skeletal remains and car were found comes under Khudel area.

The probe found…
After post-mortem of the skeletal remains, the police managed to identify the person as 35-year-old Rajesh Parihar, a resident of Scheme Number 71 under Chandan Nagar police station. Police later tracked accused Prem Prajapat of Rishi Nagar area of the city as the car was registered in his name. Prem told the police that the car is owned by him but he doesn’t know Rajesh Parihar. Accused tried to mislead the police for many days but later he confessed to have committed the crime with the hel of his brother Ajju alias Ashok Prajapat and cousin Gajju alias Ganesh Prajapat. One of the accused first killed Parihar by pumping in two bullets into him. They set the car on fire and pushed the it into the gorge to destroy the evidences.

The cops said…
ASP Singh said that Rajesh Parihar left home on February 4, 2019 and never returned. His wife searched him everywhere but in vain. Later, she along with accused Prem reached police station to file a missing report. Prem told the police that he is a property dealer and met Praihar about four years ago as his friend was staying near his (Parihar) house.

Prem then started visiting Rajesh’s home and soon developed an affair with his wife. Rajesh was debt- ridden and wanted to sell his house to repay his debt but his wife was against it. Rajesh’s wife told accused Prem that their house was on bank loan and Rajesh’s loan was insured. The loan could only be waived after the accidental death of Rajesh! Since then, Prem was planning to eliminate Rajesh and marrying his wife. Later, he told his brothers to kill Rajesh for his house. They were also lured for a share in the house.

As per the plan, the accused took Rajesh to the jungles on the pretext of rituals to repay the debt. Prem reached Muhada Ghat on his bike where Ajju and Gajju reached earlier with Rajesh in their car after consuming liquor. Police said that one of the accused later fired two bullets on Rajesh and he died on the spot.

They poured petrol on his body and car and set it on fire. They pushed the car into the gorge and fled Dewas on the bike. After arresting the accused, police recovered a pistol used in the crime. Prem is a criminal and was earlier arrested by Dwarkapuri police for his involvement in a fraud and assault case.  Deceased Rajesh hailed from Anjad, Barwani and was residing in Chandan Nagar area for 15 years. He ran a tea stall in Chandan Nagar and is survived by wife and two children.
