Indore: ‘Riding on Congress crest’, Oza says party to announce Indore name soon

Senior Congress leader and spokesperson Shobha Oza on Thursday announced that the party will announce the name of the candidate from Indore in next three-four days. Addressing media during the release of Congress’ Manifesto in city, Oza said, “We are discussing on the final panel of the names and the candidate name would be announced soon. We will plant a strong candidate in Indore and we are sure that we will bring change this time with Congress’ win in Indore.”

Oza also said that there is wave in Congress’ favour due to which various BJP leaders including Narendra Singh Tomar, Uma Bharati and Shivraj Singh Chouhan are afraid of contesting election this time.  She targeted Modi government for failing in providing 2 crore jobs as they promised in previous elections and said, “It was a jumla for BJP but we have promised to provide 34 lakh jobs to the youngsters and a separate budget for the farmers to improve their conditions which deteriorated in BJP’s tenure.”

Will bring Right to Health
Oza said that UPA government had successfully bring Right to Information and Right to Food during its tenure and now will bring Right to Health to provide medical and treatment for all and to make it a law so that everyone gets proper treatment.

Britishers brought section 124 A, BJP misused it
Former advocate general Anand Mohan Mathur too supported Congress’ manifesto and specially the promise to remove section 124 A. He said, “The section was brought by Britishers in 1980s but it has been misused by BJP government by booking people under sedition charges only for speaking their views.”

Congress has also promised to open Supreme Court’s bench in various part of the country to decrease the pressure from the court and to provide relief to the people as well. “It is one of the biggest step one will take in reformation for law in the country,” Mathur added.

Will contest from Indore if party asks: Patwari
While PWD minister Sajjan Singh Verma keep claiming that party will not give ticket to any MLA but the sports and youth welfare minister Jitu Patwari is still announcing that he is ready to contest election if party gives him ticket.
