Indore: Despite the announcement made by the former Railway Minister to run Indore-Howrah Kshipra Express daily, some railway officials are creating hurdles. Seeing the rising demand for daily run of Indore-Howrah-Indore train, Zonal Rail User Advisory Committee member Jagmohan Verma said that despite the announcement of the Union Railway Minister to run the Indore-Howrah Kshipra Express every day almost 12 months ago in Bhopal, the railway officials are misleading the public.
Verma said that on April 16, 2018 then Railway Minister Piyush Goyal made this kind of announcement there while inaugurating the train. Train No. 22911/22912 Indore-Howrah Kshipra Express was announced to run daily. Verma said that in this regard, on February 23 this year, he gave a reminder letter to General Manager (GM) of Western Railway (WR) AK Gupta during his Ujjain tour. But on May 10, in the Head Office, Mumbai, it was shown that no information was received from the Railway Board. He further said that with the consent of the Chairman of Railway Board, the Railway Minister announced the running of trains.
Verma alleged that some officials of the railway are creating hurdles in offering a much demanded and needed facility to the passengers of the region. It may be point able that if the frequency of the train increased to make daily, it will be a great relief for the passengers of Bihar, who are demanding daily frequency of Indore-Patna train from a long time.
