Keeping in view the model code of conduct, City Superintendent of Police Pallavi Shukla raided a pub in Vijay Nagar area in early hours of Monday. The CSP was patrolling the area at 1.30 am on Monday when she heard sound from Trance Pub. She immediately raided the place and found that pub owner was playing music and serving liquor to 250 youths present there.
Under model code of conduct, the pubs are permitted to serve liquor and play music till 12 midnight. The Vijay Nagar police station staff was informed following which a team reached the spot and arrested pub owner Anshuman Vijaywargiya (44), Palash Sehgal (22), Deepak (33) and Golu (30). The police booked the accused under Madhya Pradesh Kolahal Niyantran Adhiniyam, 1985.
