Indore: Police arrested one more accused in connection with the murder of activist Nemichand Tanwar, here on Tuesday. Prime accused in the case Arun Sharma was arrested by the police late on Monday night. A search is on for third accused.
Senior Superintendent of Police Ruchi Vardhan Mishra said that after the arrest of Arun, police arrested his son Pankaj from the area on Tuesday while another son Navin was on the run. Pankaj is being questioned to know about Navin. Police said that Arun was produced before the court from where he was sent to jail. Arun told the police that he had a dispute with Nemichand over a matter of money.
He had given Rs1 lakh to Nemichand for his treatment when he had cardiac arrest a few months ago. Arun and Nemichand had an argument when the former asked the latter to give his money back. However, the family members of the deceased alleged that Arun had asked Nemichand to cast his vote in favour of the Congress party and also threatened him.
