Indore: City’s train passengers are going to get connectivity with Prayagraj (Allahabad) from Friday. However, the demand is raised to turn its operation from weekly special to daily.
The railway is starting the operation of train No. 04119/04120 Mhow-Prayagraj-Mhow from Friday.
According to official information, train No. 04120 Mhow-Prayagraj weekly special train will run on July 5, 12 and 19 at 12.20 am and reach the city railway station at 13.15 and will depart at 13.20 hours.
It will reach Prayagraj next day on Saturday at 5.30 hours. In return train No. 04119 Prayagraj-Mhow will depart from there on July 4, 11 and 18 at 10.10 hours and reach next day on Friday to the city at early 4.45 hours and depart from here for Mhow at 4.40 hours and reach Mhow at 5.50 hours.
The train will have stoppages from both side at Indore, Dewas, Maxi, Shujalpur, Saint Hirdaram Nagar, Vidisha, Beena, Lalitpur, Jhansi, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakut, Mankipur and Shankargarh. The train will have 2 AC-II, 2 AC-III, 7 sleepers and 5 general coaches.
In the meantime, Jagmohan Verma, member of Zonal Railway User Advisory committee, welcomed the decision of starting the weekly special train for Prayagraj.
Beside him, other members of the Zonal and Divisional Railway Advisory committee including Ajit Singh Narang, Alok Dave, Ishwar Baheti, Girish Jain and Nirmala Hardia will felicitated the pilot of the train.
Verma demanded Railway Minister Piyush Goyal to turn the operation of the train from weekly special to daily. Verma demanded that the train’s halt at the city railway station should be increased from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.
