Indore: Power bill defaulters won't be able to sell sealed property

Indore: Now, big defaulters of electricity bills, whose immovable properties have been sealed due to outstanding amount, will not be able to sell the assets.

Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company has got consent from the registrar (stamps and duties) that registration of properties sealed due to pendency of power bills will not be done.

Ever since Amit Tomar took charge as managing director at West Discom he has been cracking the whip against big defaulters. After sealing immovable assets, now he had got it ensured that the defaulters are not able to sell the sealed assets as well.

West Discom (Indore rural) superintending engineer DN Sharma said that they are taking stringent steps against big defaulters for recovery of outstanding amount, especially colony developers, cold storage operators etc.
