Indore: Poll training given in locked rooms of colleges

The polling related training to more than 5,000 government employees, including class-c and second class officers and professors were given in locked rooms of two colleges on Thursday.  More than 5,000 employees were given training in Holkar Science College and Atal Bihari Vajpyee Arts and Commerce College. The training was given in two sessions first from 11 am to 1 pm and second from 2pm to 5 pm. The training was given in two sessions. The training was organised and coordinated by Additional Collectors Ajaydev Sharma and Kailash Wankhede.

A health camp was also organised at the training site. There was also provision of drinking water and ambulance. Training of operation and connection of ballet units, control units and VVPAT was given by Master Trainers to employees. Training was given in 42 rooms. Each room had 60 employees. It was told to the employees that facilities having an aid can be given to illiterate, blind and divyanga voters.

Instruction was given to the employees about putting the ink on the index finger of left hand, after the voting the control unit has to be closed.  Mock poll must be conducted. It is necessary to seal EVM machine after voting. Following completion of voting VVPAT batteries have to be separated. Master trainer RK Pandey, RD Dixit, Pradeep Sharma, Pravin Tekre, Nagesh Dagadkar was trainer.
