Indore: In these troubled times of cash-crunch, you can foot bills of coffee, tea, and snacks even at roadside dhabas, courtesy android mobile phones, IOS and Windows having Paytm app.

Some restaurants and snacks shops in the city and outskirts are accepting payments through Paytm apps using QR code.

The only condition is that you should have Paytm app on your mobile phone.

Manish Sharma, who owns a snacks shop in Indrapuri colony, said that after Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes were demonetised, he had to return many consumers due to lack of change.

“To deal with the situation, I opted for technology and downloaded Paytm app. Now, I am accepting payments for small items like coffee, sandwiches, samosa etc via Paytm app,” he said.

If both the customer and the shop owner’s mobiles have Paytm app, these apps can be synced via QR code for payment.

Mahalaxmi Nagar based mobile shop owner RP Marmat said that he had seen many shop owners accepting payments through Paytm app. “I also have started doing the same.” He has pasted a notice on his shop reading payments are accepted through Paytm app. Auto-rickshaws and taxi cabs are accepting payments through Paytm app for past some months in the city. So save you cash for a rainy day and opt for app technology for payments.
