Indore: In the backdrop of Pulwama terror attack, the security of passengers has been beefed up at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport. As per new arrangement, passengers are required to reach airport two hours before the flight. It is mentioned on tickets.
The alert issued by Bureau of Civil Aviation Safety to all airports in the country asks airport administrations to strictly follow security standards and add new measures if required. Official sources of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport told Free Press that passengers are being asked to remove their jackets, wallets, wrist watch, coins, belt and even spectacles during personal security check.
On any suspicion, passengers will be questioned. As for passengers’ luggage, the Central Industrial Security Force personnel may open the bag to check it even after the xray scan if suspicious object is found.
