The city has got one more flight for Mumbai from Tuesday. This will operate on Tuesday only. However, daily flights will start from Thursday. Air Asia started weekly flight for Mumbai from Tuesday. As per schedule, the flight l5-607/608 Indore-Mumbai-Indore will depart from the city at 3.45 pm. It will land at Mumbai airport at 4.45 pm.
In the maiden flight, 100 passengers travelled from the city while 160 passengers arrived from Mumbai to the city. In an informal ceremony, the first passenger of Indore-Mumbai flight was felicitated at Air Asia counter at the airport. Airport director Aryma Sanyal said airline will introduce daily flight for Mumbai from Thursday.
This flight will depart from the city at 11.05 pm. Sanyal said t here will be eight Air Asia flights from the city including two on Tuesday. Sources from travel industry said launch of two flights for Mumbai will help in filling the void created due to withdrawal of three flights for Mumbai by Jet Airways.
