Indore: Both major political parties have started their preparations for upcoming Lok Sabha elections and don’t want to leave any stone unturned for influencing people to turn votes in their favour. In an effort to motivate party activists before election battle, Congress too moves on the lines of Bhartiya Janta Party and is going to launch ‘Jhanda Abhiyan’ for hoisting party flag at every activist’s house and institutions.

However, instead of launching it on state level, Congress will start it at district level and will take it forward. “Yes, we are going to launch ‘Jhanda Abhiyan’ soon in Indore and will hoist our party’s flag on our houses and institutions,” city president Vinay Bakliwal said. The campaign will be lead by Vivek Khandelwal and it will be started from the houses of leaders first.

“We have a target to hoist one flag at each activist house and it will not be done a single day. We have a target to spread the message to every activist to motivate them for the upcoming elections,” Bakliwal added. BJP had recently organised a flag hoisting campaign and all the activists had posted their photographs of flag hoisting on social media.
