Indore: Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Tuesday closed down Sarvate bus stand premises temporarily and shifted operations of buses from this facility to other stands. IMC officials reached the Sarvate bus stand premises in the morning and got it vacated with help from police. Later barricading of entry points was done and no entry board was installed on Sarvate bus stand premises.
“Buses which used to operate from Sarvate bus stand will now run from Teen Emli, Navlakha, Gangawal and Vallabha Nagar bus stands,” said municipal commissioner Asheeh Singh. As Sarvate bus stand building was in a dilapidated condition, the IMC had demolished it some months back for constructing a new building. Singh visited the Sarvate bus stand premises and ordered to construct foundation of building before monsoon.
New building to have following facilities
New building of Sarvate bus stand will have wide range of facilities. The bus complex will have parking and bus boarding facility on ground floor, waiting room on first and second floor. These floors will also have commercial space. The building will also house food joints, restaurants and a hotel. IMC officials stated that Sarvate bus stand building will be one-of-its-kind in the state when it takes shape.

Vallabha Nagar bus stand: Buses towards Ujjain and Dewas Route Navlakha Bus stand: Khandwa, Omkareshwar, Bhurhanpur, Khargone, Maharashtra Route, Aurangabad Route, Barwani, Manawar, Sendhwa, Khargone, Shridi, Pune, Mumbai etc.
Gangwal bus stand: Agar, Susner, Rajasthan and Gujarat Route
Note: Inter-city buses and AICTSL buses will carry people from railway station and Sarvate bus stand to these alternative bus stands.
