In case of any emergency or accident/s of aircraft at Devi Ahilybai Holkar Airport, now the eventuality can be tackled effectively as the airport administration has received a Mobile Command Post Vehicle. The state-of-the-art vehicle is equipped with all necessary equipment required in such cases.

The Airport Authority of India had purchased 32 Mobile Command Post Vehicles at a cost of Rs 14.06 crores for 32 major airports, including the city airport and Bhopal. The vehicle meant for the city airport reached here on Monday. In the western region, other airports, which have received the vehicle are Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Rajkot and Vadodara.

Fully AC, the vehicle is fitted with GPS system, conferencing facility with conferencing table, all emergency operation equipment, portable sign boards, shelter tent, binocular, first-aid box, smart board etc along with Other emergency related infrastructure. Airport Director Aryama Sanyal informed that it will be of great help to officers engaged in such operations during any emergency incident or accident of an aircraft.
