Indore: There was no respite from cold conditions for the residents as the city witnessed chilly winds on Tuesday as well.
The maximum temperature remained two degrees Celsius below the normal temperature while the night temperature too dropped to one degree Celsius below the normal.
The Meteorological department claimed that the condition would remain same with drop in night’s temperature as the cold winds are continuously blowing from the northern part of the city. On Tuesday morning, denizens woke up to chilly morning and cold winds continued to blow blowing throughout the day with the average speed of 12-14 kmph.
Maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 24.4 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees below the normal, whereas the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.6 degrees Celsius, which was one degree Celsius below the normal temperature. Due to chilly weather, the roads wore deserted look in the morning and evening. “Change in weather conditions is due to western disturbance which had hit the Himalayas and snowfall in northern part of the country, a few days ago,” weathermen said.
