Indore: India’s first conference on ‘Vasculitis and Rheumatological emergencies’ will be organised at the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and Association of Orthopedic Society Indore at Hotel Indore Marriott on Sunday. More than 300 delegates and 18 rheumatology experts will attend the national conference to discuss the medical problems related to vasculitis and rheumatology.

Chief guest of the event will be Dr PS Hardia and special invitee will be Dr Sharad Thora. The conference will also be attended by IMA president Anil Vijaywargiya and Dr Manish Maheshwari. Organising secretary of the conference Dr Saurabh Malviya informed that there are 200 types of arthritis and many people are not aware of it. Dr Malviya said, “The conference aims to create awareness regarding the effect of rheumatic diseases on our body.

The conference will have special focus on subjects like acute joint pain by Rohini Handa, miscarriage due to auto immune disease and blood clot by Dr Ved Chaturvedi.” “Early diagnosis and optimum management is the key for treating various vaculitis and rheumatological emergencies.

Eminent faculties of national and international repute will take us through the journey of different topics. We hope that this update will enhance our managing skills to conquer these masquerading diseases and thereby patient care”, he added.
