Looking poised to raise polling percentage in Lok Sabha election, the district election office released a song on Wednesday to motivate voters particularly women to exercising their franchise. The initiative is taken under Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Practices (SVEEP). Neha Meena, CEO of district panchayat and SVEEP nodal officer, release the song ‘Matdan ki aab puri taiyari hai, Nar se aage Nari hai’ at a press conference held at collector office on Wednesday.
The song is sung by Sarthak Sharma. She said song would be played in all the election-related meetings and conferences. It will be played 15 days before polling on garbage collection vehicles of Indore Municipal Corporation and also on ‘election rath’.
She said ‘voters literacy’ and ‘Chunav Pathshalas’ will be organised soon. Besides, an awareness conference to draw women voters will be organised at Abhay Prahal on April 2 wherein well-known singer Palak Muchhal will be one of guests. Attempts are being made to bring some more special guests to this conference.
The Election Commission of India believes that elections strengthen faith of people in democracy and constitution. After hundreds of years of struggle, the rule of democracy and law were established in many countries, which created a sense of freedom, equality and fraternity. This movement spread across the world gradually.
