Khandwa: BJP and Congress candidates from Khandwa-Burhanpur Lok Sabha seat filed their nomination papers at district election office here on Wednesday. According to information, former state Congress president Arun Yadav first submitted his nomination to the district election officer Vishesh Garhpale. Before this, he visited Dadaji Darbar, where he performed puja and sought blessings.
Later, he went to Gandhi Bhawan from where he along with scores of his supporters reached district collector office. Mandhata MLA Narayan Patel appeared as the proposer of Yadav. BJP candidate and sitting MP Nandkumar Singh Chouhan first visited Bholenath temple at Mahadev Nagar where he performed puja to seek blessings.
After puja, Chouhan held discussions with party workers. He also visited Ganesh temple situated in Sarafa and Dadaji Darbar. From there, Chouhan along with his supporters moved to district collector office. Pandhana MLA Ram Dangorey appeared as seconder for him. The Khandwa-Burhanpur Lok Sabha seat will go to polls on May 19. Nomination for the seventh and the final phase already started from April 22 and it will continue till 29.
