Indore: MY Hospital to start helpdesk for patients

Indore: With an aim to ease facilities for patients and attendants in the biggest government run medical facility — Maharaja Yeshwantrao Hospital — the hospital administration will start helpdesk for the patients at the entrance of the hospital.
Moreover, the hospital administration will also start locker facilities for the attendants to keep their things safe till their patient is discharged from the hospital.

The decisions were taken by Dean of Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College Dr Jyoti Bindal during inspection of the hospital on Thursday. Dr Bindal also directed hospital superintendent Dr PS Thakur to utilise the empty space of the hospital for the welfare of the patients and attendants.

“Where to go is the major question with the patients and attendants arriving in the hospital due to which they have to move around for the right place. We have decided to start a helpdesk for the patients and attendants to direct them to the right place and avail services at one go,” Dr Bindal said.

She also said that by utilising the empty space, the hospital can improve facilities for the patients. Dr Bindal had inspected the facilities in associated hospitals consecutively for the third day as she had reprimanded the doctors in casualty of MY Hospital for being absent and also the staff of Government Chacha Nehru Hospital for shifting three patients on one bed.
