Indore: A murder accused who fled from the civil hospital in Guna during treatment was arrested by two policemen posted at Pardeshipura police station in wee hours of Wednesday. The accused was arrested by Guna police for killing his mother and niece over a petty issue in May last week.
Pardeshipura police station incharge Sudhir Kumar Arjaria said information was received from police control room that a man is roaming near Rajkumar vegetable market with handcuff, which was put around his ankles.
After information, head constable Sandeep Singh Bais, who was about to leave police station after completing his duty and constable Ramshankar Soni reached the spot when accused tried to flee after seeing them. The policemen chased him and finally arrested him from the area.
Accused identified as Deepak Bhadoriya, a resident of Mihana in Guna district, told police that he was arrested by local police for his involvement in killing mother Lata and his brother’s 14-year-old daughter Anita. Lata and Anita were allegedly beaten to death by the accused over some dispute on May 20, 2019.
He was arrested by the police on murder charge and he was produced before the court on May 24 from where he was sent to jail. On June 11, he was unwell after which he was rushed to district hospital in Guna. A handcuff was put as a lock in one of his legs, which was tied to hospital bed.
He managed to flee after break opening the chain of handcuff and reached Indore by a bus. He was on way to meet his maternal uncle Laxman Singh Kushwah near MR-4 Road when he was arrested by the police. Police in Guna had announced a cash reward on his arrest. The accused has been handed over to police officials from Mihana police station for further action.
