Indore: Union ministry for micro small and medium enterprises (MSME) will organise one-day Vendor Development Programme Brilliant Convention Centre on Friday. More than eight large industries owned by union government are participating in the programme for procurement from MSME units of region.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with MSME ministry and NSIC led National SC/ST Hub (NSSH) is organising Vendor Development Programme-Roundtable workshops cum B2B meetings with Central Public Enterprises (CPEs) and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
The conference will include presentations from various CPEs on their procurement policies and procedures, deliberations and discussions. The CPE/PSEs participating in the conference are Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited , Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Bharat Earth Movers Limited, Western Coalfields Limited, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, National Fertilizers Limited, Manganese Ore (India) Limited and Government e Marketplace.
It will sensitise MSME on requirement of CPSEs in building a value chain with the MSME under the distinct categories. The discussions will be followed by B2B meetings between PSEs/OEMs and the MSMEs. The aim of the programme is to further strengthen the goal of PSEs of reaching the 25% procurement mark, developing a strong supply network for OEMs and therefore generating more business opportunities for MSMEs.
Focus areas of the parallel roundtable conference would be discussed on specific items required from vendors, on areas requiring policy interventions to eliminate barriers to entry and on areas requiring policy interventions to improve the ease of business.
