Indore: Mr ‘doubtfire’ kills wife over ‘affair’

Indore: A woman was stabbed to death by her husband over the alleged extra marital affairs in Vijay Nagar on Friday morning. After the incident, police nabbed the accused and further investigation is underway. Additional Superintendent of Police Shailendra Singh Chouhan said the incident took place in Malviya Nagar area around 6 am.

Accused Raghuveer Singh had an argument with wife Priti Vishwakarma (40) over the suspicion of her extra marital affairs. The situation turned so intense that accused took a kitchen knife and stabbed Priti three to four times. Sources claimed that the accused committed crime in front of his children and he reached police station to confess.

His children with the help of neighbors took Priti to the hospital but she could not be saved due to excessive bleeding. Police said the accused was nabbed from his residence. Preliminary investigation revealed that Raghuveer killed wife Preeti as he had doubted on wife’s character.

On Wednesday morning, an infuriated Raghuveer told his wife not to possess a mobile phone which, apparently to him, was the sources of all evils. Preeti is survived by husband, three children. Raghuveer is building painter by profession and hails from Hoshangabad.

YOUTH REFUSES TO GIVE MONEY, KILLED

A group of men reportedly killed a 19- year-old youth under Tukogang police station jurisdiction on Thursday night. The youth died during treatment on Friday morning. Police booked four persons and launched a hunt for them. Police said the deceased has been identified as Govinda Shaymlal, resident of Pancham Ki Phel area of the city.

He was at tea stall around 10.30 pm when he had an argument with four youths over some issue. The accused later cordoned him off and stabbed him using a knife. Someone had informed the police but the accused could not be arrested till filing the report. Police suspect that the accused were asking for money when Govinda had refused the same after which the accused attacked him.

It is said that four persons were involved in the incident and police came to know about three accused and started their search. After the death of Govinda, the residents of Pancham Ki Phel along with family members reached the police station and  they demanded quick arrest and strict action against the accused.

YOUTH STABBED BY FIVE Another incident was reported at Aerodrome police station on Thursday around 10 pm. Police station in-charge Ashok Patidar said deceased identified as 21-year-old Shivam Chouhan, a resident of Suvidhi Nagar had an argument with Bhola, Karan, Yuvraj and two minors over siphoning off petrol from a bike.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were stealing petrol from a bike when Shivam had tried to stop them. After a few minutes, when Shivam was homeward bound, the accused stopped him near his home and stabbed him repeatedly. A knife wound was also found near his private parts.

He was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved. Shivam’s mother said she at home during the incident. She later came out after hearing screams of an injured Shivam who was writhing in pain in a pool of blood. The accused had fled. After a few hours, the police managed to arrest all the accused.
