He has attracted national adoration by his passion for work. Don't you think that moonwalking is his only passion, in Corona kaal, Ranjeet has started a commendable initiative by providing food to the needy people during the Corona Curfew with the help of five colleagues.
The policemen can be seen outside the hospitals and other places in the city while serving food to the needy. During the Corona curfew, more than 12,000 food packets have been distributed by these constables and the senior officers also appreciated these constables’ job. Interestingly, the food is also being prepared by these constables.
Ranjeet told Free Press that on April 13, 2021, he reached office when an elderly woman requested him to provide some food, when Ranjeet offered some money she refused to take it and said she only wanted food to eat.
After that Ranjeet gave his lunch box to the woman. At the same time, some needy people reached there and they requested him to provide them with food. Since then constable Ranjeet along with five other policemen decided to prepare food and distribute the same to the needy and the poor in the city.
Took help of social media also
Ranjeet spread a message on social media that food is being made available to the needy. He had also given his mobile number on the social media and on the first day about 64 people contacted him and they requested to deliver food to the needy. Constable Ravi Mandolia constables Yasir Ahmed, Tarachand, Rajendra, Sanjay and Ramlakhan assisted him. Two farmers also approached Rajneet and they arranged some raw material for preparing food. Then the traffic policemen started preparing food in the traffic police station premises.
About 250 to 300 packets of food per day, these constables are distributed on their vehicles and with the help of traffic crane staff Munna Ansari to the poor and other people outside the hospitals. From 5 pm to 7.30 pm, these constables prepare food and distribute it. Although these days, due to the decreasing cases of COVID-19, there has now been a shortage of food orders, but these policemen say that they will continue to do this work until the markets are fully opened.
