Indore: Madhya Pradesh Medical Council served a show cause notice to the professor of anaesthesia department in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College on Saturday for not joining Chhindwara Medical College even after his transfer. In the notice served to Dr VS Bhatia, Council found him guilty under Indian Medical Council (Professional Conduct, Etiquettes and Ethics) Regulation 2002, for not joining Chhindwara Medical College.

His posting comes under Model Service Rule. Due to his irresponsible behaviour, patients and hospital services were affected in Chhindwara Medical College. The Council has asked him to reply in seven days and demanded to know why council should not cancel his registration for not following the orders. Dr Bhatia was transferred to Chhindwara Medical College few days back. Dr Bhatia had met state medical education department Vijaylaxmi Sadho and appealed to her to revoke his transfer order as he is counted as faculty member in MGM Medical College.
