Indore: MCI gives nod to four more PG seats in community medicine

Indore: The Board of Governors of Medical Council of India (MCI) has given nod for increasing four post graduate seats in Community Medicine Department in Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College (MGMMC) on Thursday. With these, the college will have seven PG seats of community medicine and it would also increase total number of PG seats in the college to 112.

According to HoD of Community Medicine Department, Dr Sanjay Dixit, “Apex regulator had given us permission to increase 4 PG seats in community medicine department. We have submitted a compliance report on January 18 and the inspection for the same had taken place in January 23.” MGM Medical College had applied for increase in PG seats in physiology and pathology department while the administration has also applied for surrendering 49 PG diploma seats to getting same number of PG degree seats.
