Indore: The Sun is in no mood to provide any relief to citizens as the maximum temperature on Thursday touched 43.4 degrees Celsius, which becomes the hottest day of the year once again. The mercury had touched the same mark on April 28, this year as well.
Moreover, the citizens did not even get any relief in night as the minimum temperature reached its peak at 28.5 degrees Celsius which was also the hottest night of the year till date.
Regional meteorological department officials claimed that the reason for sudden rise in temperature is hot winds that are blowing in Madhya Pradesh and nearby states.
The officials also added that the citizens will not get any relief for the next couple of days at least and the temperature may break the record as well.
Weathermen said that winds blowing through western direction are also a reason behind the increasing heat and rising night temperature.
“There will be no respite in day temperature in next couple of days and nights will be hotter,” they added.
City wore a deserted till the sun came down as people confined to their homes and offices to avoid the scorching sunlight. Due to rising heat and dryness, people are facing difficulty in their daily chores while the nights have become unbearable.
