Indore: A man was allegedly thrashed by a group of youths during New Year’s party at Shehnai Garden on Monday. The complaint to this effect was filed on Thursday. According to the police, complainant Ram of Gopal Bagh Colony has lodged a complaint against Ajan and his accomplice for thrashing him following an altercation. Victim had an argument with Ajan over a petty issue, which escalated. Then, Ajan and his accomplices thrashed Ram. Police have booked accused and are investigating the incident.

Theft Thieves broke lock of a shop and decamped with cash and mobile phone in Mahalakshmi Nagar. Complainant Mahak told police that said when she opened the shop next day, she found shop was in disarray. The complainant found that the thief took away some cash and mobile phone.

In another incident, theft was reported at a warehouse owned by Narendra near Khajrana. In yet another incident, complainant Thakur Singh reported theft at his residence near Talavali Chanda in which thief took away 10 LED TVs from his house. Police have registered all cases and have begun investigation.

Dowry A 22-year-old woman has alleged that her family members torture her physically and mentally for dowry. According to police, complainant Humera residing in Iliyas Nagar has accused all her family members for asking Rs 10,00,000 as dowry. She said that her family members were constantly torturing her for money.

In another incident, complainant Roma residing in Vijay Nagar area has accused all her family members for asking Rs 5,00,000 as dowry. In another incident, complainant Ankita residing in Rahul Gandhi Nagar has accused all her family members who she said are asking for Rs 5,00,000 as dowry. Police have registered all the cases and have begun investigation.
