Indore: A 7-year-old boy was sodomised by his neighbour on Monday on the pretext of allowing him to watch television. The accused left the victim when his daughter saw him involved in the dirty act. Police arrested the accused when he was trying to flee with his family.
According to police, the incident took place in Vijay Nagar police station area on Monday evening. “Accused Bharat Bhadoria (35), resident of Meghdoot Nagar, sexually assaulted the boy after calling him at his home to watch television. The victim raised an alarm after which the accused’s daughter rushed into the room and the accused let the victim go,” police said.
The accused also threatened the boy with dire consequences if he told anyone about the incident. “Later, the victim informed his mother about his ordeal. His mom rushed him to the police station. Acting on the compliant, we immediately raided the accued’s home. The accused was all set to flee to his native village in Tikamgarh with his family,” police said.
Police registered a case against the accused under IPC section 377, 342, 506, and 5 M/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
