A man was allegedly beaten to death by few persons in Bhanwarkuan area on Thursday. The family members of the deceased gathered at police station and demanded strict action against the persons involved in the murder. Police have detained four minors in connection with the case and started an investigation into the case.
Bhanwarkuan police station in-charge Sanjay Shukla said the deceased has been identified as Pramod Chouhan (45) a resident of Palda area of the city. He was rushed to MY hospital where he died during treatment on Thursday night. Preliminary investigation revealed that Pramod had an altercation with a group of boys over some issue on Thursday noon. They thrashed Pramod black and blue due to which he fell on the ground and received head injury. After thrashing him, the boys fled the scene.
Police said Chouhan reached home and told the family members about the incident. Family members took him to hospital and doctor suggested him to take rest. Around 11.45 pm, his condition started deteriorating and he was rushed to MY Hospital but he could not be saved.
On Friday, family members gathered Bhanwarkuan police station and told the police that Pramod was thrashed by four persons of the same area following an argument. He received injury due to which he died. The family demanded strict action against the persons who thrashed Pramod. Police said that four minors aged between 13 and 17 year of age and they are being questioned further. Two of them are the student of class 8 and class 9.
