Indore (Madhya Pradesh): The last date of application for verification for admissions under Right to Education (RTE) Act has been extended till July 12, 2021.
The last date was extended following requests made by parents. Earlier, the last date for verification of documents for RTE admission was July 10.
State Education Centre director Dhanraju S said, "Last date of application verification has been extended so that no eligible child is deprived of application verification due to any circumstances, especially delay in procedure due to coronavirus challenges.”
It is noteworthy that in the session 2021-22, the last date for online application for free admission in class one of private schools was fixed on July 9, 2021. About 1.99 lakh online applications were received against 2.84 lakh seats. The last date for verification by going to verification centre was July 10, 2021, in which a large number of people got the verification done.
More than 1.72 lakh students have completed verification in the state. Parents and guardians are being provided last opportunity for verification till July 12, 2021, after which verification work will be stopped and children found eligible in verification will be allotted seats through online lottery.
In Indore, more than 13,000 applications have been received for admissions under Right to Education Act . A total of 12,816 children will be admitted under the provision to study free of cost in private schools in the district.
Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan district project coordinator Akshay Singh Rathore said, “Those who have applied for admissions under RTE should bring their parents or guardians to public education centre with original documents.”
He added that if document verification is not done, application will be cancelled. The original documents are caste certificate, birth certificate, residence certificate, Aadhaar card etc.
On July 16, 2021, the online lottery will be held.
