Indore: Labour commissioner's poll-related order

If the work area of any employee is far away from their house, they should be given paid leave for the whole day.

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): In view of urban body elections, the assistant labour commissioner issued an order on Monday directing industrial, commercial and private institutions to give half-day leave or a day off to those working in their establishments so that they can exercise their right to vote.

If the work area of any employee is far away from their house, they should be given paid leave for the whole day. Also, private schools and colleges have been ordered to grant leave of absence to students above 18 years.
