Indore: Indian Institute of Management Indore, which had gone to Mumbai with its flagship course — post-graduate programme (PGP) in management, has decided to discontinue the course. “The institute has wind up PGP in Management course offered by Mumbai campus. There won’t be any new admission in the course for session 2019-20,” said Ananya Mishra, media coordinator, IIM Indore.
Sources claimed that the course also known as PGP@Mumbai has been discontinued as quality of young managers produced from Mumbai campus inferior to Indore campus and recruiters complained about it to the institute many a time. However, the institute rejected the claim saying that the PGP@Mumbai has been discontinued due to technical reasons. The institute stated that it would continue to run PGPMX and PGP in Human Resource Management from the institute. PGP-HRM is a dual city course. In first year, students study at Indore campus and second year at Mumbai campus.
